| First Sentence | WORLD SIKH ORGANIZATION OF CANADA . • OPERATION FATEH • WSO intervened at the Supreme Court of Canada to support the right of Jewish condominium residents to build sukkah huts on their balconies. Case resulted in a landmark decision which continues to inform the way freedom of religion is understood in Canada today. WSO has supported the right of Muslim women to wear the hijab and niqab 2007: WSO supported Azzy Mansour in her struggle to wear the niqab while playing soccer; 2011: WSO spoke out against Quebec's Bill 94 against the niqab and made submissions to the Quebec National Assembly. WSO supported high school student Hamish Jacobs & helped him win the right to wear a kilt to his graduation to honour his Scottish Heritage.
